We are the Kindy Kids and we are going into Kindys to help the teachers. We believe that the teachers do not have any support in looking after the children. We plan to help relieve their stress load by going into the Kindys and helping out with the children and teachers.

Miss Knowles:

7.Peer Reflection
Venus Kwan:
I think that their idea has effected the kindys in many ways.

8.Individual Reflection
Zoe:I really enjoyed going to the different kindys and I thought that we really did make a positive change to the community. I had a great time doing it and the kids were all well behaved and fun. The teachers were all very grateful and asked us to come again. Sadly we couldn't. The kids were very co-operative and had great fun playing with me, Emily, Lauren and Jess.

Emily:
I think that this was a very good task to do because we got to actually go out and help the community instead of just writing what we want to do to help the community. I enjoyed helping the kids at the kindys and they were all very well behaved. The teachers were happy to have us and enjoyed our company lots. We all worked well together and overall had a fantastic time.

Jessica:
I think the inquiry task was a very good challenge especially what my group and I did- helping out the kindys. All the kids were really cute and adorable. They were really sweet. The teachers were really nice as well. I felt like I was a little kid again. I wish I could go again to help out with the kindys. The inquiry task taught me responsibility skills and service to the community. I had a great time.

Lauren:
I really enjoyed our inquiry work. I thought the it was a good idea to work with kindys. It was something different and the teachers really appreciated our help and the kids loved us. Our group worked really well together and used our time wisely. The days that we went to the kindys were really fun it was cool singing and dancing with the kids and getting to know them with while playing. It was also fun going to two different kindys because we got to see to different kindys
teach the children from their point of view. It was a really fun experienced.

Zoe
BBK
I enjoyed painting the butterflies with Helena and Michaela and I also enjoyed the mat time when we sang the gingerbread man song. We also got the guinea pigs out to show the children and we had fun stroking and catching them. The kids had free time to do what they wanted (e.g play in the sandpit, paint...)
Lauren
BBK
I enjoyed playing with the children. My favorite activity was playing with the guinea pigs. We painted butterflies and hats with some of the kids. We also joined in with the kids at mat time. It was fun dancing and singing with the children.
Emily
BBK
BBK was an exciting experience, the children were very nice and the teachers were very helpful. I enjoyed playing with the kids in the sandpit and painting pictures with them. Overall it was a fun day.
Jessica
BBK
I enjoyed spending time with the kids. I made friends with Bella and Mackenzie. We looked at the guniea pigs, played on the swings and the sand pit, had races on the slides etc. BBK was a really nice kindy and the kids were really nice. I enjoyed working with them.
Zoe
Frog Puddles
It was really cool to see the four boys do the haka! The kids were quite quiet at first and them they softened. We played tag, hide and seek, dress up and we read some books. It was very different from BBK and was a very different experience. I made friends with Devon, Hamish, Eva, Zara and Hugo. Tina, the supervisor was very grateful to us for coming.
Lauren
Frog Puddles
Frog puddles was interesting. It was fun seeing the ways that they control the kids. At mat time it was cool to see some of the boys do the haka. It was also good to see the chosen kids that got the medals at rthe end of the day.
Emily
Frog Puddles
Frog puddles was different from BBK because the children were younger and harder to talk to, but by the end of the morning I was enjoying myself and playing lots with the kids. The kids were great at doing Maori dances and songs including the haka.
Jessica
Frog Puddles
Frog puddles was a very different experience from BBK. I made friends with Brooklyn and Hayley. We played tag with Alex, cameron, Daniel, Hamish etc. We also played hide and seek. Because they don't know my name, a boy asked a teacher what was the girl with the braces called. They were all very nice.
